Legacy system migration question
Hello, I am working on a migration from legacy database-based system. The system models the entities quite similarly to Odoo (database-level wise). There are contacts, sale orders (and corresponding lines). invoices (and corresponding lines), products, purchase orders (and corresponding lines), stock levels, ... Now I would like to prepare something that would let me ease the transfer of the data. One thing would be preparing exports that are easily importable. However there would be more than 20 of them. Another idea was to use Components/Connectors maybe and gradually add things. For that some hierarchy would be needed. Like first we do contacts, then we do product categories, then products, then sale orders, then sale order lines, then ... Now I would like to prevent importing thing that are already imported. The reason being is there are many records (in the magnitude of tens of thousands) of products, contacts, ... In the source database there are timestamps so it is possible to detect and select new/modified records. What I want to achieve is: *) gradually improving the imports with more information from source system *) prevent the necessity on cutover day to import everything as this would be a long process Any suggestions/ideas are welcome. Best regards Radovan Skolnik

Re: Legacy system migration question
Hi, yes - something like that. Odoo won't be used parallel to the old system. It's just there are many different kinds of objects with many records so I do not want to spend 2 days on cutover day exporting and importing the data. My idea is something like incremental import. Incremental in the meaning of not only records but also objects. So I'd first configure importing users - fiddling with it till work as expected. On next run it would only import/update new/updated records. When that is done I'd continue to let's say contacts. Etc... I have some kind of client/server in mind. Odoo being server where I'd be configuring what should be fetched, mapped, imported. Small client where the source data is that would be serving data according to Odoo's requests... Re: Legacy system migration question
Hi Radovan,
I understand from your description that tour source database will be kept in parallel and would still be used operationnally ?
We had somehow a similar request to retrieve daily legacy databases updates in Odoo. The legacy system provided daily FTP export of tables (since they did not want to provide direct database access).
You can find what we did here : https://sources.le-filament.com/lefilament/cgscop/cgscop_riga_import

Re: Legacy system migration question
RadovanI did something similar some years ago. However for a system with mostly Contacts, events and documents.
What I did, was using odoorpc. If you are interested, I can dig out my old code for you as an idea.Robert

Bank Account Error Camt54 Import
Hello Virginie Dewulf,It is about version 14 and the app Bank Account Camt54 Import 8https://apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/14.0/account_statement_import_camt54/).
I was told that I should just report here with the problem.
Unfortunately, I can not upload the Bank Camt file and I get the following error:
"Missing currency code in the bank statement file."
Is this due to the app or the file being uploaded. I have uploaded here but different files and it always came back this error.
Thanks for the help.--Mit freundlichen Grüßen | Best regards,Dirk WillmesAccounting Consultant+49 171 758 2844

Hi Dirk,
as it happens I developed a fix for this on one of my projects. Please try this code change: https://github.com/OCA/bank-statement-import/pull/460

Re: Bank Account Error Camt54 Import
Hi Dirk,
this list is meant mainly for "contributors" - companies or individuals that contribute to OCA in some way or other.
If you are an implementor or end user looking for help in solving errors with OCA modules, either through consultancy or programming, you should directly contact companies that can help you with that, and they can give you a quote. For example Virginies company. You can also find a list of companies that are active in OCA at https://odoo-community.org.

Dear contributors,In the case where fetched emails create crm leads (or other object), do you know a module that shows if our alias was in To, Cc or Bcc fields ?Or in a more general case, a module that keeps original email somewhere in the databaseThanks in advanceBest regards

micro-cloud-odoo
Dear contributors,I've been building a proof of concept about kubernetes and odoo.I choose AGPL because I think that OCA umbrella could the best option to develop a production product. The misssion is that anyone be able to deploy and manage their own micro cloud focusing on odoo. The technologies are Microk8s.io and its enviroment and of course Odoo.I want get back feedback of you about if it is an interesting project and if is applicable to host in a new respository and maybe a new PSC.So, I'm newer and I'll need some help to contribute adapting the project for OCA.--

Hi Diogo, I hope you and your team are doing well. Thanks for your reply and your patience with my response. I have forwarded your reply to German Odoo Partner ITIS AG, as their CEO asked me to ask the community if there is expertise to help him on the project. Feel free to contact their CEO Joerg Lorenz (jlorenz@itis.de) right away. Thanks for your feedback and if you don't mind i will keep you on my list for similar projects as soon as we have one. Hi Frederik
Not 100% an answer to your question but:
- theme_kaizen 13.0 has just been the first OCA website theme to be merged to OCA/website_themes, and 14.0/15.0 versions are in the pipeline as well. It's a decent theme
- I've done some 13.0 modules in OCA/website to increase PageSpeed score of websites, which is important for SEO
Maybe it can be of some use.

Proposing myself as accounting-maintainers PSC
Dear contributors,
I would like to apply as PSC for accounting-maintainers, this means accounting*, payment*, etc.
I have been working with Odoo in Accounting as long as my mind remember, and my stack of well-known modules is big
I’m already PSC of other repositories and I think I can help in accounting staff, as you know, reviewing functionally, testing, and organizing.
Thanks to consider my request

Simplified standard landed costs
Hello,
By now I've come up with the same requirement from two different customers.
I wonder if there is some OCA module that can help with it.
On purchases, we want to be able to add a per unit additional product cost, on top of the price of purchase.
This additional cost be a thumb rule to distribute shipping costs, for example: "We know for each unit received there is an average additional 5 cents for shipping costs".
You can think of it as a simplified landed costs feature.
Average Cost was being used in theses cases.
Has anyone else come across something similar?
Thanks

Re: Simplified standard landed costs
This is the identical problem to suppler rebates. Essentially the IAS2 requirement to account for full cost of inventories. I wouldn't think of it as a landed costs issue, but the more generic the purchase order price is different to the inventory valuation. You can actually fudge this by overriding the stock move price unit in Anglo-Saxon and then just using the variance account as a kind of offset.I did used to have an entire v7 module that handled all of these stock price adjustments on the way in. It was actually really complicated to work in with anglo saxon at the time. At v12 I tried to generalise it such that it was possible for a user to configure, as actually under Revenue accounting you have a similar issue, but at v14 it is still a work in progress. At its guts you need to know 3 prices to make the following to happen. (Brackets are examples, there are other things to consider)- PO at correct price to supplier. (i.e. Purchase Price).
- Stock receipt at Inventory price (i.e. Purchase price less expected discounts and rebates, plus costs of bring goods to current location and condition)
- Invoice price at correct invoiced price (sometimes this is Purchase Price, sometimes it is Purchase Price less some discounts like prompt payment included on invoice)
That is the easy part explained. The trick then is in the accounting entries. As you basically need to make sure amounts are accrued to variance accounts and then offset as invoices come in.As I say you can kind of fudge it good enough just using the standard AS price variance account if you have good accountants who understand why they are porting there, but it needs something a bit more proper. It is kind of on my list for attention in next 3-6 months, but the part you are describing is just a small subset of the inventory cost problem. On Thu, 10 Mar 2022, 9:07 am Daniel Reis, <dreis@opensourceintegrators.com> wrote:Thank you Pedro,IIUC that adds a line to the PO, that will become an expense entry when you validate the invoice. It doesn’t increase the product unit cost directly, correct?--drNo dia 09/03/2022, às 19:15, Pedro M. Re: Simplified standard landed costs
Not really. This is supported by its dependencies:- delivery_purchase: This module allows to use the shipping methods of the core `delivery` module in purchase orders. You select one shipping method, and the price is computed from the rules, and you can also set a fixed price. But no PO line or anything more is added.- stock_landed_costs_purchase_auto: A landed cost associated with the PO IN picking and the purchase order will be auto-created when you confirm the PO.The last piece is completed with this module stock_landed_costs_delivery, that just adds an expense line in the auto-created landed cost with the delivery cost.Regards.

Daniel and Pedro,
I have been diving into this just now as well for version 14.
I would be happy to "help" to move this from 13.0 to 14.0 but I state up front that I have not been involved in a true OCA workflow.
Seems like these things move pretty well. I am a integrating machine (but not a runbot). The standard "Odoo way" is outlined here:

Google mail and oauth: support for odoo <= 11.0
Hello everyone, Google announced that they will be requiring oauth for mail access starting on may 30, 2022. Odoo has made changes starting on version 12.0 (https://github.com/odoo/odoo/commit/336c9aab3619abb5bfbeb07f87ae014facdefb0b) to add this support. We probably need to do something similar for previous versions of Odoo. Do you thing this should be done in OCB by backporting the above commit to previous versions, or in some other OCA addons repository? base_custom_info & product_custom_info pickle
Hello, I am using combination of base_custom_info and product_custom_info to track information of technical paramaters for Product Templates (product.template). We also use Product Variants (product.product) where custom.info.property is the name of the parameter and custom.info.value is used as the value for it. Now usually most of the technical parameters are the same for all Product Variants. But in some cases the Product Variants differ in one or two of these. So what I'd need is to assign the common values to Product Template and only the differing to Product Variant. The issue is custom.info.property takes related model from custom.info.template and that links by Many2one to ir.model. So I cannot assign the same custom.info.property(ies) to product.product as I did for product.template. I am sure there can be devised some clever Python way to overcome this without breaking lots of stuff but nohing comes to my mind. Would anyone care to share any ideas on how to tackle this? Thank you very much Best regards Radovan Skolnik

[30352] Pricelist applicable prices in E-Commerce
Hi folks, does anyone know a module or some basline to look at for Odoo that allows for a dynamic evaluation and display of applicable prices for a product. For instance lets assume Product A (for USERGROUP) has a net price of 10,20,30 € for <=5, <=50, <=100 pieces. I would like to be able to display that in a widget unterneath the product as for instance Prices No of Items <= 5 10€ <= 50 20€ <= 100 30€ I didn't find any OCA module or other code that does that, nor did i find a forum article. If somebody has a implemented a function like this any hint would be nice. I am quite as astonished btw. as i would have thought this is quite a common e-Commerce feature. Best Frederik -- Dr.-Ing. Hi Raphael, our German fellow Thorsten Vocks gave me the nice hint for https://github.com/OCA/e-commerce/tree/10.0/website_sale_price_tier That should -ported to v14 or v15- just do the trick. So it may help you es well to avoid some double effort. Our customer meanwhile wants to stick to manual work for now unfortunately but if you decided to migrate and contribute this, i am happy to devote review resources to get it merged Best and have a nice weekend Frederik Am Freitag, dem 25.02.2022 um 21:52 +0000 schrieb Raphael Alla: > Yes one would think this should be out of the box. Backporting mrp_subcontracting_dropshipping to 14
Hi,we're planning to backport https://github.com/odoo/odoo/tree/15.0/addons/mrp_subcontracting_dropshipping to version 14 on OCA, but I'm having difficulties in understanding the procedure to do so.How do you suggest to approach this? Where should we make a PR? The module exists on v.14 too, but with way less features.
Thanks for your help,Francesco--Francesco ForestiSicurpharma Srl

Re: Runboat issues with some repo
Hello Yann,Thanks for reporting! The first one (OCB) seems to be due to the git fetch command using more than the 1GB memory limit allocated to the container, and therefore being killed. I'll try increasing the limit. The second one is even weirder. The Odoo install command is apparently aborted but it exists with a success code.
