A better way to implement serial number tracking?
Hi folks,When I was thinking about a solution for ‘Unsplittable product’, I came to realize that the current implementation for S/N tracking in Odoo is quite limited.I create an issue here: https://github.com/odoo/odoo/issues/46290 . I’m also making a copy below, please kindly advise if I missed anything. Thank you.Currently when a product is configured for S/N tracking, Odoo simply ensure the qty in a quant for the given product to be 1, that is almost all the difference from a normal batch lot tracking. This constraint also implies that the UOM for the S/N tracking product need to be piece or unit.
This works for some cases but certainly not all. For example, In jewelry industry, diamond is tracking by S/N, measuring in weight; in metalwork industry, steel roll is tracking by S/N(roll number), measuring in weight or length of the roll; Glass panel is tracking in S/N, measuring in size, etc. etc.
For the above mentioned S/N tracking, the UOM in question is not Piece and the qty in quant is not 1.
When we apply a serial number to a product, we actually suggest that the product is not splittable in transport. The qty in quant is 1 or not shouldn't be a problem.
The necessary constraint for a S/N tracking product should be:
- the quant must not be split
- the quant has to be reserved in full qty.

Re: Functional question: ISR based on customer [l10n_ch_payment_slip]
Hello Virginie,May I suggest you to put that kind of Switzerland specific question to switzerland@odoo-community.orgTo answer your question, the feature you are talking about has been done here:And it is only available since version 12.0. There is currently no short term plan to backport it to version 11.0. (as your link target the 11.0 branch I assume you need that in this version)You can try to backport it and make a pull request on https://github.com/OCA/l10n-switzerland.Best regards,Yannick VaucherBusiness Solutions ArchitectCamptocamp SAPSE A, CH-1015 LausannePhone: +41 21 619 10 30Office: +41 21 619 10 10On Tue, 25 Feb 2020 at 09:56, Virginie Dewulf <virginie@coopiteasy.be> wrote:Hi OCA,

We found this documentation on the module about the ISR generation by Odoo:
123456000000500002018000149
\____/\_____/\___________/|
1 2 3 4
The ISR is a 27 interger long string that is created upon VALIDATION of an invoice. It consists of the following parts:
(1) ISR-B Customer ID number (size: may vary) - this number identifies your company and is set in the bank account of your company’s partner as 'l10n_ch_isrb_id_number'.
To set this number, create a bank and bank account through Contacts > Configuration. There, you can assign the created bank, your company and an ISR-B number to the bankaccount.
(2) Partner reference filled by 0 on the left (size: 7) - this number is taken from the 'ref' field of a customer (partner).
(3) Invoice reference filled by 0 on the left (size: what is left) - this number can be found (for the most part) in the name of an invoice
(4) Control digit (size: 1)
But our tests are not OK. For example, we have one partner with internal reference 999 and another with internal reference 001.For the 001 customer we generated 2 invoices, and it gave those 2 ISR:01 12341 00000 00002 02000 06921
01 12341 00000 00002 02000 07941
For the 999 partner, we generated 1 invoice and the BVR generated is:
01 12341 00000 00002 02000 04980
We don't see the partner internal reference in the generated BVR.

Re: GSSAPI support to connect Odoo 12 to MS Exchange
Hello Maxine,I didnt have experience connecting in described way. Not knowing fully problem that you are trying to solve for your customer will anyway try to suggest smth I had experience with. Having additional alternatives never bad idea :)1) Connecting using SMTP (usually tricky with MS products):This article describes Office 365 integration. But approach can be quite similar configuration wise.2) Alternative approach(connecting from Outlook Client side):Connecting Exchange server with any service(including Odoo) is usually rather complex job. We did that in the past. And it requires to worry a lot about what info and how you want to allow accessing. Rather easy to make mistake. Or alternatively rather expensive in development.Instead we realized that easier and more secure approach is to initiate connection between Odoo and MS Exchange from side of Outlook Client (as Outlook Client already do communication with Exchange in secure way, so Microsoft solved that for us). So Outlook already getting all info for us, that is allowed to be seen ONLY, by current user. What we need is just to take that info and send to Odoo.To test approach we developed simple app as showed on video. https://youtu.be/8r85FGPLJJwNote this is not outgoing mails integration, but this video is just to demo approach .Maybe this approaches is something you need to consider. On Mon, Feb 24, 2020, 5:47 PM Maxime Chambreuil <mchambreuil@opensourceintegrators.com> wrote:Hello,I have a project where I need to connect Odoo 12 to Microsoft Exchange requiring GSSAPI for outgoing emails.Any experience or recommendation around this topic?Thank you.MAXIME CHAMBREUIL

Re: Salary Structures
Hi Alexey,We (our "Numigiens") have worked for a long time for customers with payroll in several countries and continents.
It's interesting. The complexity and the legislation is very different from one country to another.
Here in Canada, we invested it in 2014 with Savoir-faire Linux and the work was on hold in the following months. We started again and "relaunch" last year at Numigi. It's fun!
Depending on your localization, you can base yourself on different repositories, as (for example)I didn't find any readme or explanation about salary structures in Odoo Documentation. In short:
- the salary structure corresponds to your models to build the pay slip. You can play with child structure to easier your management depends on complexity you have on your localization.
- the rules corresponds to the different lines that make up the pay slip.In most cases, the lines are gross revenues, deductions...And you will find a lot of localization as l10n_ around payroll for helping yourself.Have fun and don't hesitate to share links or infos around this topic!

Call for PayPal users
Dear community,There are two PRs related to PayPal that could be useful to active PayPal users (e.g. B2C):https://github.com/OCA/bank-statement-import/pull/234 - adds support for automatic import of PayPal statementshttps://github.com/OCA/bank-statement-import/pull/236 - improves off-line importing of PayPal reports, yet doesn’t have backwards compatibility with previous mapping configurationsIt would be great to get more visibility as it’s really odd that such features are not in high demand.Kind regards,Alexey

Porting it over to a recent version would be much easier than developing the feature, and would be a great payback for the original authors.Consider that.It would cost your customer 10 or 20 instead of 40 (made up numbers)/Daniel--Alexey Pelykh <alexey.pelykh@gmail.com> escreveu em sex, 21/02/2020 às 18:21 :I’ve also found https://github.com/OCA/account-analytic/tree/10.0/analytic_multicurrency but seems since v10 this was not really developedOn 21 Feb 2020, at 06:56, Alexey Pelykh <alexey.pelykh@gmail.com> wrote:Hi Dominique! Thanks for hint, I guess I’ll create one then :DKind regards,Alexey

Re: How can functional people "really" participate in OCA?
Hi,Meanwhile, is it easy just to have another group mail "functional@odoo-community.org", so we all can start asking functional questions related to OCA addons and Odoo. Then, we can see how much traction we have without investing anything.Note: As I saw it, the many groups we have almost no activity, except this one, may be because it is too topic specific. Having the generic one may help?KittiOn Thu, Feb 20, 2020 at 9:27 PM Maxime Chambreuil <mchambreuil@opensourceintegrators.com> wrote:Hello,1. I am not sure it matters. It allows reviewing and approving, just like git, but everyone knows how to use it, and functionals don't need to learn git nor that # this is a header and *this is italics* but **this is bold**._______________________________________________

Subject: Help on Email MarketingHello community,
To be honest, the Email Marketing App is not something I have used before.
I was expecting it to be like an upgraded version of email templates,
but AFAICS it uses a fixed QWeb template, and you can't add dynamic
fields, like the Contact's name of job/function.
Am I missing something?
If not, has anyone worked on some module to allow rendering dynamic
fields on the outgoing email, similarly to email templates?
Thank is advance for your insights
Daniel Reis
