Add kit components in stock picking
Hi there,I'm not using sales modules currently creating delivery orders manually, do you know any module to easily add a kit in an outgoing picking ?I've seen stock_picking_product_kit_helper but reading source code it looks like it requires a sale order.I'm thinking of creating a module to open a wizard to choose the kit and quantity that would add kit components in the delivery order.What do you think? Should I create a new module ?Does the manufacture repo the right place to propose ?What could be the name of such module stock_picking_add_product_kit ?Regards,

Re: Add kit components in stock picking
Hello contributors,In a project we were recently evaluating the https://github.com/OCA/product-pack modules but splitting a kit in the sale order also creates some complexity, like if you later drop ship the kit or things related to routing the kit components in general. So while these modules are great in certain situations we think they aren't suitable for all projects.So instead we were thinking about an alternative approach: we could still use the native phantom kit from Odoo but have an OCA module that would then override the stock.picking module to display the kit product on the delivery report instead of the components. So the delivered item would match the kit line sold in the SO assuming it wasn't split. What do you think about this approach? Do you know a module that would help for this approach?Regards.On Mon, Nov 8, 2021 at 8:41 AM Pedro M. In fact, to give more context, we are using the sale module but in the middle of the workflow between the sale and shipping order we have engineers that generate the real products list from the estimated sale product to send to the customer what they need. Those products are directly added to the shipping order and they are different from what has been sold !Regards.El vie., 5 nov. 2021 16:52, Kitti U. <kittiu@ecosoft.co.th> escribió:Hi Pierre,I think manufacture is good place. OCA 2021 Delegates Campaign - Closes 5th November
Hello OCA Contributors,--Just a reminder that our Delegates campaign is still open and closes tomorrow November 5th, 11:59 PM UTC. We can vote in 10 each year - currently we only have 3 applicants! You just need to be a current paid member to apply.There isn't a huge amount of time to be contributed to being involved as a Delegate, normally a few voting sessions a year for certain things and the AGA. Being a Delegate also gives you the opportunity to apply to become a Board member if that is something you might be thinking about.To apply as a candidate, you have to:
sign the CLA (if not already done)
have a valid membership. Make sure to purchase your membership or renew it (you should have received a quotation for your renewal earlier this year).

OCA alternatives to the Odoo "Kit" feature
Hello,
I'm wondering if there are any OCA alternatives to the Odoo "Kit" feature?
I can think of two different cases:a) The kit should explode only in Delivery Orders, just like kits, but I don0t want to install the Manufacturing module only because of that.
b) The kit should explode directly on the Sales Order, when the "kit" product is selected.
Thank you
Daniel Reis

AW: OCA alternatives to the Odoo "Kit" feature
Hi Daniel, to add one more to the list: https://github.com/OCA/product-pack/tree/13.0/sale_product_pack
This one is depending on product_pack and implements the sale functionality if I remember correctly.

Translation
Hello, I have a question. In a lot of modules I notice a lot of useless po files. For instance in partner_contact_birthday I have for the Dutch language: nl.po (Just Dutch) nl_BE.po (Belgian Dutch) nl_NL.po (Dutch Dutch) Only nl_NL.po contains some translated terms, that would be perfectly valid for Belgium as well (as 99,9% of translations would be). How to get rid rid of the superfluous po files in the proper way? I am afraid doing this via a regular PR, would get overwritten by some transbot wizardry... -- Met vriendelijke groet / Kind regards, Ronald Portier ronald@therp.nl +31 6 3639 7838 Dagen dat ik werk / Work schedule Maa, Woe, Vrij / Mon, Wed, Fri: 07:30-10:00, 10:30-13:00, 15:00-18:00 Din, Don / Tue, Thu: 07:00-10:00, 10:30-13:00, 13:30-16:00 Vrije dagen / Days off september 2021: din/tue 07, din/tue 21

accounting: discount on early payments
Dear contributors,Unfortunately odoo doesn't support discount for early payments yet, and it seems to be a feature that would be appreciated in many countries, because we developed such a module at camptocamp, as did Acsone in Belgium and Open source integrators.I opened the following issue on github to discuss how could we offer a single module in v15.0 covering all of the use cases in the OCA and avoid having too many modules for a similar requirement: https://github.com/OCA/account-payment/issues/462Feel free to join the discussion.Best regardsAkim

New Issue templates for OCA repositories
Hello everyone,We have just added Issue Templates for all the OCA repositories in Github.These will make it easier for everyone to submit more detailed issues in all repos, while at the same time making the process quicker and more efficient for both users and project maintainers.As this is an organization level change, they are immediately affecting all repos, so you can already see it in action when submitting new issues.https://github.com/OCA/.github will be the base repository for these templates, so you can address any issues or suggestions there.Regards,João Marques

New PSC for OCA/l10n-brazil project
Hello, contributors,I would like to propose Marcel Savegnago https://github.com/marcelsavegnago from the Escodoo Brazilian company as a new PSC for OCA/l10n-brazil.Marcel came with both a strong open source culture and strong ERP culture. That is both the technical and the functional culture we need.Over the last 18 months, he still did his homework, that is learn the OCA culture and ecosystem by participating in many OCA repo. This is very important considering our localization is arguably the most complex at least in the OCA and some modules are a bit daunting, forcing us to make more advanced design decisions than most other localizations around (l10n_br_fiscal is the largest OCA module, and our electronic invoicing is also the most complex by far).You may know Marcel because he got these 14 merged PR's OCA/manufacture:these 34 merges in OCA/fleet:or these 7 merges in OCA/helpdeskAs for us for OCA/l10n-brazil, Marcel got 74 PRs very welcome merged into OCA/l10n-brazil over the last 18 monthsand countless constructive reviews, always helping others.He his also an author or mentionned contributor of 15 OCA modules https://odoo-community.org/shop?version=16&search=escodoo

It's very important considering how much the activity and scope of OCA/l0n-brazil is growing as you can see from the activity graph https://github.com/OCA/l10n-brazil/graphs/contributors with nearly 10 000 commits in the repository now over the last decade. OCA 2021 Delegates Campaign - now open
--Dear Odoo enthusiasts, OCA members and contributors,
The 2021 OCA Delegates Campaign is open. From now and until November 5th, you can apply to be an OCA Delegate if you are a current paid Member.
Why?
The Delegate Assembly is the Association’s supreme authority. Each Delegate member is entitled to one vote at the Delegate Assembly. Decisions of the Delegate Assembly are taken by a majority vote of the Delegate members present and voting. For further details, please read the Bylaws.
How?
To apply as a candidate, you have to:
sign the CLA (if not already done)
have a valid membership. Make sure to purchase your membership or renew it (you should have received a quotation for your renewal earlier this year).
Campaign will be closed on November 5th, 2021.
Then what?
The vote will be open from November 8th - November 19th, 2021. Current OCA Delegates will have to vote for 10 new Delegates among the candidates.
The results of the election will be announced on those lists on November 7th, 2021.
The 10 new Delegates will then take part with the existing Delegates in :
the 2021 OCA Board Member Campaign from November 22nd to December 3rd, 2021
the 2021 OCA Financial Auditor Campaign from November 22nd to December 3rd, 2021
the 2021 General Assembly from November 6th to December 17th, 2021.
We look forward to seeing you at the OCA Days later this week - there will be two AMA OCA Board sessions where you can ask questions about this process or you can reply to this email as well.Warmest regards, Rebecca

OCA Days - need Zoom hosts and techies...
Hello OCA Contributors,
We are gearing up to an awesome two days at the end of next week for the OCA Days but we do need your help.
As we did last year we need people to "HOST" the sessions (introduce speakers, moderator/room chair ) and run the tech and manage the room.We had a great response to this request last year and it really helped to make the event run well.If you could please reply on this list and let me know if you are free for a couple/few hours over the 28th and 29th to help assist us that would be great. The sessions run from 9am to about 6:30pm CEST each day. I can then get in touch with you separately to organise once I have the volunteers.
We'll be able to run a couple of test sessions late this week and early next week.Have you registered for the OCA Days? Do so here.The timetable is shaping up, a few more items to add in, so keep checking back before the event!Also, if you want to sprint while the event is on, we welcome this and you will be able to co-ordinate on the Discord Sprint channel.Thanks in advance, I look forward to hearing from you.Rebecca--Rebecca GellatlyGeneral SecretaryOdoo Community Association

runbot maintenance
Hello everyone, I will stop the OCA runbots for maintenance today, around 13:00 UTC+2. This will be an opportunity for: 1. software updates 2. servers reboot (last one was 160 days ago) 3. upgrade of various Odoo-level modules and travis2docker to be able to build 15.0 branches Thanks for your patience. -- Alexandre Fayolle Senior Software Engineer Tel : +33 4 58 48 20 30 Camptocamp France SAS 18 rue du Lac Saint André 73 370 Le Bourget-du-Lac France http://www.camptocamp.com

Re: runbot maintenance
Hi, Alexandre,There's a side effect on the last change you perform: now any branch below 15.0 has runbot, as they still use .travis.yml. I think you have to put support for both file names in runbot.Regards.

15.0 branches
Dear contributors,As I'm writing this, the migration issues have been created and the 15.0 branches are being initialized.CI is done using GitHub actions by default.At the moment, runbot is not enabled while we are investigating options to make it run without .travis.yml.Let me know of any issue you might notice.Best regards,

Use a domain filter on odoo13 XML with a stored computed value
Hello,
I want to use a domain filter on odoo13 XML with a stored computed value
This is my code
Py-file:
partner_domain = fields.Char('Domein', index=True, compute='_compute_function_dependence', store=True)
@api.depends('adres_function_ids')
def _compute_function_dependence(self):
partner_domain = []
partner_domain = [['|'], ('customer', '=', True), ('supplier', '=', True)]
self.partner_domain = json.dumps(partner_domain)
I used :
- store = True (field has to be stored)
- json.dumps : The field used as domain must provide the domain as a JSON encoded string.
XML-file : FIRST TRY : I tried to filter with context
<field name="partner_id" string="Partner" attrs="{'required':[('IsFreeAdres','=',False),('vhg_functie_compute','=',False)]}" context="{'default_partner_domain':partner_domain}"/>
RESULT : This doesn’t filter anything for partner_domain field, it gives all the records (no filter)
XML-file : SECOND TRY : filter with domain
<field name="partner_id" string="Partner" domain="partner_domain" attrs="{'required':[('IsFreeAdres','=',False),('vhg_functie_compute','=',False)]}" />
While debugging :
Partner_domain = <class 'list'>: [['|'], ['customer', '=', True], ['supplier', '=', True]]
I get an error:

Odoo mailing-list (channels) and missing pictures
Hi everyone,I'm currently stuck on an Odoo behaviour about pictures in email sent on Odoo mailing-lists.I'm pretty sure that you already noticed this behaviour on this list: instead of seeing your picture, you see its alt attribute as "picture-of-thing.png".That's because when the mail is sent to Odoo, it converts base64 pictures to attachments and the mail content is transformed with an img tag<img src="/web/image/521951?access_token=a8301246-ab90-46a5-9dfe-eff9df3dafb4" alt=" picture-of-thing.png" width="437" height="562">The access_token is working perfectly but the img src is not composed using a FQDN ...Is there a module-workaround for this ?If not, I will have to create a fix, does someone know where it occurred in the code ?

Re: Odoo mailing-list (channels) and missing pictures
Found the culprit, current implementation breaks inheritance on `_send_prepare_body` and I don't understand why they used the body field from 'mail.message' instead of body_html from 'mail.mail' (at this point, the body_html field is already properly formatted since `_replace_local_links` has already been called on it).PR to fix this issue: https://github.com/odoo/odoo/pull/78390--

You might want to migrate https://github.com/OCA/social/tree/10.0/mail_embed_image to have Odoo send mails with embedded images, but for mailinglists that's not such a good choice because it would blow up the amount of traffic tremendously. -- Your partner for the hard Odoo problems https://hunki-enterprises.com

You might want to migrate https://github.com/OCA/social/tree/10.0/mail_embed_image to have Odoo send mails with embedded images, but for mailinglists that's not such a good choice because it would blow up the amount of traffic tremendously. -- Your partner for the hard Odoo problems https://hunki-enterprises.com

l10n-italy on apps.odoo.com
Hi all,
we should have fixed licenses issues of l10n-italy repo, but we still can't find some modules on apps.odoo.com (for v14), like l10n_it_fatturapa
Can anybody check?
Thanks!
