Re: OCA Repositories in Odoo Apps Store
If I got correctly, vision of some participants is that majority of OCA contributors / module authors would be happy to drop almost-free (except the maintenance part) marketing channel of Odoo Apps Store which I doubt is the case. Even if some modules are blacklisted or fail to publish, having something there is better than having nothing.

I didn't like the whole app store concept from the beginning but its in the interest of Odoo S.A. to control the customer base and the money flow. It we want to continue using the plattform as means to spread the OCA as "the" real community behind Odoo, we probably have to play the game to a certain degree. Otherwise Odoo will continue to build and "control" an own non-idependent community. To me that would finally be the end of all Open Source in Odoo. Ultimate control and power to exclude is something you strive for if you would like to maximize producer surplus and probably most valuable with regard to S.A. overall economic strategy but it is against the values and core essence of Open Source that strives to at least better balance producer and consumer surplus (i.e. reaching real market efficiency) Best Frederik Am Mittwoch, den 10.06.2020, 10:22 +0000 schrieb Joerg Lorenz: > +1 > Possible approach, in particular to get funds into the OCA > > Questions remaining: > > 1. odoo s.a. gets the money first and keeps 30% commission, as you > might know > > 2. the reporting of s.a. OCA Repositories in Odoo Apps Store
Hello all, as i checked the apps.odoo.com it seems that not all branches are pushed to Odoo, so it is a known issue or how we can fix it to record all repositories and branches? I checked for v13.0 and on OCA Apps Store there are approx. 440 but on Odoo Apps Store there are only 134. -- Mihai Fekete NextERP Romania S.R.L. 600B, Peciu Nou, Romania E-mail: feketemihai@nexterp.ro Telefon: 0788-749989 Website: https://nexterp.ro
