If it is possible to find the correct outgoing shipment from a serial. It is possible to create a wizard to read barcodes and and create a stock.return.request allowing them to process it fast. stock_return_request didn't affect the original PO and WHIN (on my tests) and i couldn't be sure if it works as intended. needs to be migrated to 16 too. It might be easier to develop it similar to that module with your flow.
